Project is realized within a consortium: VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland Ltd.(Leader), LNE : Laboratoire national de métrologie et d’essais (France - partner), Institute of Applied Computer Science, LUT (partner). Its objective is to develop (using VLSI analog technology) an FMCW radar-based system for vital sign detection and estimation of its basic parameters: Breathing Rate (BR) and Heart Rate (HR).
Our team is responsible for development of data analysis algorithms for vital sign detection and estimation. Unlike for commonly used approaches, where the task is typically accomplished using two subsequent FFT analyses, constraints of the adopted implementation technology require a complete change of problem solution methodology.
